Abortion in the South

“Abortion in the South” is an 8-frame zine printed on 8.5x11 size paper. It was designed to commemorate what should have been the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade – a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that the Constitution of the United States generally protects a pregnant person's right to have an abortion.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned by a right-wing Supreme Court in 2022, Republican politicians severely limited access to clinical-based abortion care in the South. Today, people who need in-clinic abortion care must travel to faraway safe haven states like Illinois, New York, and Minnesota.

But there are still ways to access abortion in the South! In support of all pregnant people living in the post-Roe South, I created this zine to share as a resource.

The “Abortion in the South” zine can be downloaded and printed right here.
