U.S. Abortion Statistics

The Guttmacher Institute is a leading research and policy organization committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide.

In 2021, I collaborated with The Guttmacher Institute’s communications team to produce three 60-second animations overviewing abortion statistics and state-level restrictions in the United States.

Even before the overturning of Roe v. Wade, over 1,300 state-level abortion restrictions created massive barriers between pregnant people and the essential reproductive care they deserve.

It’s way past time for Congress to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will guarantee reproductive healthcare for all.
